Since its founding in 2020 in Vienna, grommunio has taken a steep path to success and has become the global technology leader for open source groupware with our Linux-based Exchange solution.

Initially, our main motivation was to provide a technically robust and reliable Open Source alternative to Microsoft’s Exchange Server. We aimed to establish a GDPR-compliant and secure European solution that empowers companies to regain control over their data and prioritize transparency. Over time, this core idea evolved into an ecosystem consisting of communication and collaboration tools.

Our portfolio includes the device- and operating system-independent management of sensitive data such as email, contacts, calendar, chat, video conferencing, file sharing, and much more, all in real-time. We strive to make the transition for your employees as pleasant as possible and as it suits them. You can continue to use your existing software like Outlook, calendar, contacts, and tasks if desired, or take advantage of our own program offerings that, in the meantime, exist for all plattforms.
